About Jacob Jahnke
Jacob Jahnke, LMT, NMT is a Massage Therapist at Heritage Chiropractic. He completed his undergraduate studies at Mount Union University and then studied massage therapy at Atlanta School of Massage where he took particular interest in Therapeutic Massage Therapy. Jake uses a number of different types of massage to achieve the clients’ goals of greater mobility and decreased pain. He is a Georgia Licensed Massage Therapist, nationally certified in Therapeutic Massage by the National Certification Board for Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB).
Jake is passionate about helping patients recover from past injuries and current conditions, reduce the stress that accumulates in the body due to our busy lifestyles and helping teach patients how to remove or limit the daily stresses on their bodies. The combination of chiropractic care and massage therapy helps many patients reduce pain, regain movement and obtain a higher quality of living in a shorter time frame.

Jake specializes in a number of techniques including Therapeutic Massage, Neuromuscular Therapy, Myofascial Release, Stretching and both Active and Passive Techniques. He uses a combination of these techniques to help improve his clients' day to day lives. Jake’s rehabilitative massage approach tends to be different from most people’s preconceived idea of “massage.” He works from a completely therapeutic and biomechanical stand point. The goal of Jake’s therapeutic and rehabilitation massage is to find and work with the “hurts so good” pain threshold, and never for a client to say to themselves “Oh my! He’s killing me!”
This approach strives for long term relief, with minimal short term pain. Not only does Jake work to relieve the aches and pains in the body, but also educates the client of the true cause of their symptoms. It is important to be knowledgeable of the fact that the pain a person feels is actually the “symptom” of dis-ease in the body’s structure and most of the time the issue causing the discomfort is not necessarily the area that exhibits the pain. By working to eliminate the structural and postural misalignments in the body, pain will be alleviated for longer periods of time while avoiding more irritation to the already painful areas
